Default Adventurer's Lair Changed to PVP

Well the server is finally up with minimal down time. Seems that it has picked up on popularity and is a success. It is a legit server with PVP activated. Just recently the server went Perl enabled and the GMs are now able to work with the server much better. Downtime may occur from time to time HOWEVER it will be brief and back up.

Have fun playing!

Default Hurricanes

Due to major hurricanes in the area for the next few days, The ADventurer's Lair PVP Server will be down. It will come back up after mother nature passes.

Default Bonnie hits area.... Charley barely missed.

Seems we had severe lightning damage AGAIN! Server will be down for an indifinite period of time. Storm systems knocked out electricity in our area.... even though we definitely were not in the range of Charley... but Bonnie did hit us head on. I am just glad that Charley didn't hit us.

Bonnie brought us severe thunderstorms as well as tornado weather. Computer has minor damage and will be fixed when I can afford it.

If anyone feels like donating to the cause or really wants to see the server back up faster.... feel free to use Paypal and send it to maldian@bellsouth.net through paypal. Otherwise... it will be awhile before it is back up.

Default Yep sure is....

Yeah 1gb of memory is alot of memory HOWEVER in order to run a successful server with ample amount of zones.... you have to have 1gb of memory to run it properly. I know people run theirs for less than that, but for what I am running and the type of server it is, 1gb is enough to make the server stable.

That entirely depends on your target population. I have 512 on my machine, and back when my server was still open it was running 20 zones and 15 people at one time with little to no lag. But you are right in the comment about 1gb being the best solution for memory when running such a server; even more if possible.

Default With the population that I was having...

I had to have at least 1 gb of memory running the Adventurer's Lair. It had to have that much due to the amount of people who were logging in each night.
