Default Quest Scripting

I'm testing lots of quests, built by me alone, on my server (listed below) if you would like to go ahead and play around with them. The bulk of them are in the Greater Faydark and Qeynos.

Anyway, on to my questions. For one, the command %CHARNAME% does not work as specified on one of the above threads. When I use it, the NPC replies with (for example) "Thank you HARNAME%" exaclty like that. Does anyone know if there is a different command to say the player's name?

Also, I am working on making my server completely different than the original EQ. One idea I'm having is setting it up like Middle Earth (i.e. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc.). I'm currently working on changing zone names and zone locations in the world (for example, Felwithe may be Rivendale and connect to Butcherblock which would represent Misty Mountains). I am also adding code I have seen before for doors so that I can set up player owned houses. If anyone has any ideas suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them.

Great idea TheDreamX, I'll look forward to playing on your server.
