Hey all... First off thanks to everyone working on the project. I only wish I knew enough to contribute. Anyway I've been on the PEQ live beta and so far it seems to work perfect 90 percent of the time. Sure there are bugs like any beta but I've seen them either disappear or can be avoided entirely.

What I was wondering was since PEQ's is live compatable does it mean all the other expansions and zones would work ? I know the PEQ is up to velious since it's been done one expansion at a time, but since its updated to live does that mean they got pass the encryption thing?

In which case would that information work to help they guys here Fix EQEmu ? This is all being assumed that everyone is working on codeing this the same way and useing the same database and all.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Just intrested how the two differ if at all and if any of this is useful...

Keep Up The Good Work

PEQ's release of Velious doesn't have anything to do with network encryption. The team is taking it slow and going one expansion at a time with their releases.

You are perfectly free to zone to other expansions, as I believe all zones up to GoD (maybe OoW) are there and available to zone into. Just don't expect to find any mobs in them Note that by default, only GM's can zone into zones past Velious, though this is a database entry and can be altered at the server op's discretion.

Ahhh... I think I grasp where you're going with that. I figured as much for the other zones being void of monsters and npcs for that matter.

I am still wondering if the PEQ release will in anyway affect EQemu here. More specifically since PEQ is compatable with live atm, will it in anway help the dev's here in their quest to get back on live.

Just trying to weed through the technical stuff and see how this is all working, so I hope I don't offend anyone out of my ignorance. I was just thinking that since PEQ is up on live, that meant they were able to crack the encryption that happened through the last few patches.

Keep up the good work everyone,

The devs -are- compatible with live, PEQ just happens to be running the test server for it.

C++ is wonderful.
