Which server works??

OK i have tryed about 4 servers and everytime it comes to me selecting char it goes LD and back to server selection screen.So which server works?? or is there a default race/class you can pick that works everytime??

If all servers do not work for you, yet there are other people happily connecting, why do you assume that it is the server at fault and not perhaps a shoddy isp (say, dialup?) or fault on the client side somehow?

Check your datarate.txt file in your EQ directory. Setting it to 10 usually helps.

Ok ive put datarate to 10 and yet i still go LD when iam about to log in.=( Is there any thing else i can do or is there a server that would work best for me iam using 56K dial up connection and iam from UK..

Greetings. I am new to the EQEmu community.

I installed EQ from the CD that came with a Sony VAIO laptop I bought. I let it patch all the way, and downloaded the EQ Legends and optional zones as well.

I have tried to play on the EQEmu servers. I managed to create a character at Oz's world server, but when I try to play, my modem's send led flashes, but the receive led does not; soon the clear-to-send led flashes like mad, just like the send led, and I am unable to connect. I get the "You have been disconnected" message. I have tried other servers, and have not even been able to finish creating the character before I get the error message.

Does anyone know if the EQEmu server is compatible with the latest patch (december 4 as of now)?

I have an external 56K modem, and I can download files at 6 KB/sec, so I doubt it has to do with my connection speed, but who knows...

Do you simply time out while logging in, so that it hangs on logging into world forever?

If so, try logging onto Winter's Roar. I had some problems with this myself until I removed a section of the connecting1 code.

Ive tryed logging into winter server and i still when LD at char screen agian but whats this about connecting1 code.
what do i delete? And where is the file??

I am also having the same exact problems, I can create a character, but once i click on "Enter World" it either says "zone is not available", goes black and goes back to the server page, or says "you have been disconnected"! Is there anything that I am missing that will allow me to connect?? And also once I get on, how to i alter things such as items, lvl, and location? Thank you all!

Problem was simple my computer sux lol i have 304rama nd my proscer is only 333 i played it on a friends computer that was brand new and all whent fine so baisicly update ya PC!!!! =)

Tatung its not that... then again maybe because i have this problem with a good comp... anyway it has to do with the new versions of eqgame and the opcodes that haven't been defined for the emulator fuck it up... this should be fixed very soon like today dec 6th
