Does Eqemu work on Windows 98,Windows Me?

I'm just trying to figure out what's going on with my server.. lan server set up.. I got one one a Windows 2k up and going just fine. Can't get one up on Windows 98 and me.. does the emu support those version of windows? if so, any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I checked, double checked, tripple checked all the ini files and I know they work because of the working emu on windows 2000. I'm getting the infamous "failed to load item data" error with world.exe

Are you running mysql with a database that is compatible with your version of eqemu server? Some work with 4.4DR1 and some work with 4.3.

Check the world building forum if you don't have a database, and check the tutorials page if you are unsure of what I'm asking you.

I tried bother 4.3 and 4.4dr1. with 4.3 I was using 4.1 addon I beleive. I also tried 4.4dr1 addon. With 4.4dr1 I tried the 4.4dr1 addon. I have also tried only using db.sql

I haven't used 4.4, but previous versions. I have a stable Win98 box which serves and plays locally. Keep trying.

The only time I get a 'failed to load item data' is when I have not loaded something in the correct order. (such as mysql first, etc)

Good luck, and don't let 'em tell you Win 98 sucks, I use all Win flavors, and 98 has a few strong points, if you know how to tweak it.
