Default editing classes

Did not know where to put this, so feel free to move it.

I was wondering if any one know were/how to change the names of the classes in game, I've look through almost every thing and still cant figure it out. I know its listed in the client side UI but that does not help with in game (inventory menu etc) I'm also thinking its listed on the server side? I am kind of new to this stuff, and by kind of I mean very, so any help and/or information would be greatly appreciated.

its in one of the data string file.
like data_us.txt or something like that
make sure to use an editor that supports hidden line characters when editing it, or you will screw it up.

Hmm think I may have gotten myself in a little over my head. The only "data?" files I can find (server side) are the .h and .cpp files. Which are mostly in "...\eqserver\world"
I am looking at the files Client.cpp (which seems to be just changing what race etc can play which class)
SoFCharCreatedata.h which seems to be for race/class/every thing else set ups.
I've also found a few files called classes under "...\eqserver\common"
Alas, non of these files seem to be doing it as of right now i don't care what the server/client thinks a players class is i just want it to show up under the inventory screen etc. I am also hoping that item and spell tags can be changed as well? Not looking for hand me outs but I be asking for a little more direction : D Once again thanks for your help. : p

You can't edit class names without modifying the client files. That's what he's referring to -- look in your EQ directory.
