Default PEQ full install vs Using the guide

Just found this, planning on running a lan server.
I have eq titanium and am doing 2 installs live and eqemu, under vista 64.
Now does PEQ full install package support this or should I go step-by-step using the guide.
I'm just trying to set-up a lan server for my kids. and for me to test ideas
I've downloaded averything from the guide and the PEQ Map install....

Vista 64 *may* give you some issues. Not due to the installer, but EQEmu in general. I know a few people have had trouble with it, and in my limited testing I was met with some resistance not found on XP or 32 bit OS versions.

However, to directly answer your question, yes the installer supports multiple clients. When you are installing just make certain you give it the EQEmu client folder, and not the one you plan on using for Live.

If you plan on using minilogin over a local network and not just local host, you'll have to make some minor changes to get it to work. (Basically, replacing 127.0.0.1 with your internal IP in the config file, as well in the account table of the DB) However, the installer does everything else for you. What I normally recommend to people new to the community is to use the installer to get you setup, as it saves a ton of time, then search the forums/wiki for info on how to get minilogin to work over a network. This 1-2 punch allows you to get the server up very quickly and easily, and you'll also learn about the manual workings of it at the same time.
