Hi guys
My favorite server is Kroeg's infernal den but the only problem is its always locked :(

Trust me when I say, it's all in the name of stability and features. In the last 3 days, I've added well over 150 grids for npc movement! Now when you zone into rivervale, nillipus runs around the town back and forth like a little idiot... misty thicket is full of newbie bats and skeletons randomly wandering around..

I'm now working on some dungeon areas (sure has been a lot more teadious since 0.4.4 broke).

Tomorrow morning when I leave for classes, around 7ish (PST) I'll unlock the server and let everyone play all day to test some new things out. In short... if I were to leave the server unlocked while constantly restarting it, how much fun would you have going LD every 27.5 seconds?

I'm looking for people to help with database fixing, much like everyone else... I've been working A LOT with npc movement lately, and would need someone that had an interest in working on db tables and had at least some familiarity with the current eqemu releases and their plusses/limitations. Worldbuilders, basically

This server is down due to abuse. Here I push myself in my free time to be up to date on cvs releases and db changes, making sure that the db is usable for everyone + spent 3 straight days last weekend getting zones to move and getting items to correspond to their correct classes.

I logged in this morning, mad as @#$@ that I noticed nothing but level 65 characters all twinked up, the #motd changed (with someone assuming they had gm privs.), item stats were screwed with and someone used #lock. I decided legit was the way to go... it means more anyway.. what's the point of logging on, twinking yourself for 20 minutes... zoning to an uber zone then using #kill ? nothing.. you just get bored really quick and log off (not what the server is intended for).

Granted, in addon.ini - you can surely change this (and everything else), but people had some demand for high level stuff they'd never dream of seeing in eqlive (because they'd never spend the time making the pp to buy these things).

I'm not griping, i'm just acting. The server, if it appears to be running, will now say LOCKED next to it, instead of "12, 15 or even 20". Do you want a server to play on? I suggest learning how to get a cvs checkout, compile source, and most importantly -- know the db well enough to make changes as they happen (and they happen a lot).

id like to try playiong on that server, but i have no idea what trhe issue is... What do I need to do to get in?

Well, if you give everyone power to use these commands, how can you really be pissed if they do? :p

Or if you didn't, I'll just take a wild shot and say that you probably recruited a bad GM.

I just have a really busy work week, and neglected (yes, it's my fault

) and I neglected to check ALL permissions. It just blew me away that someone would screw with someone that supplied them a free place to play as long as they wanted, all day everyday!

It sucks, and they're assholes, but that's the way it is. :/
