Connecting to the item editor

I just got my server up and running, dumped items, dumped a spawned DB, running on 5.2. I just have a small question, for some reason my item editor will not connect to my database, i've tried the item editor that comes with the win32.zip (mangoo's), and i've tried kaiyodo's editor, but for some reason, it refuses to connect to my database.....

Host = IP adress
Database name= eq
Username= Mysql username
Password= Mysql password

When I hit enter it says "Database connection failed" i was just wondering if it has something to do with privileges to connect to the database, or is it for some reason broke?
Any help/links on where to find help, would be great, thanks, and great job with all world building.

hehe, found out my problem, was a simple error, i figured i could just type in localhost, and it connected, the search command really helps
