Default Cannot Innitialize eqmain.dll...

Hi, I just reformatted my computer just to clear things up as i normally do once a month. I reinstalled everything correctly, windows 98se, drivers, virus scan crap, dx9 etc etc. everything went fine but i when i try to run EQ, it cant even load up to the EULA, it goes black like it does before eula loads, then a screen comes up and says everquest cann innitialize eqmail.dll. Ive reinstalled EQ tiwce before contacting SoE, they said my ip was blocking a few ports but i called ip and they said it isnt that, so i asked soe again they told me delete eqgame eqmail.ll gfx...dll, sorry dont know exact name of last one and one other file, so i did, repatched... and nothing. so i reformatted today after school thinking it will fix it but it just does the same thing. What the hell should I do anyone know any fixes PLEASE would be appreciated

System crap:

windows 98se
geforce2 32mb (1337)
amd athlon running 1.2ghz
dont think you would need anymore

ps - used search found nothing

hmm, that's a new one to me, I'd think it has something to do with your video drivers - Have you updated your video drivers to the forceware drivers from nvidia? It's possible that you might need to make the move to XP soon since support for windows 98 is quickly diminishing.

Could be because you dont have dirext X installed, or dont have the current version, could also be you need to update your drivers, have you dont a windows update?
