He is correct we worked on this for a long time and he still seems to get the 1017 error, as well as I get the error too. We created a fresh database with db.sql and the update for 0.5.2 . Any ideas guys?

Thanks

Conan

I would guess im seeing an external ip and internal subnet ip you're running into a NAT issue..

Running the world on the firewall box ?

Whats your LAN setup... Go check out the sticky posted NAT setup guides, there are a few you'll find via search

As far I as know he has no firewall or router, and the windows xp firwall is off. We tried to change all the files around so many times.

if we chang his boot5zones.bat to

start zone . external 7995 external

The boot5zones wont connect to the world server.

His lan setup is this.

internal ip for his machine is 192.168.1.2

He is connecting to a gatway which I would assume is his dsl modem at 192.168.1.1
