Default ok wtf.....

after recently making a backup copy and patching eq to play on a 5.3 server something really strange has happend. When i go to character selection classes are messed up, says iksars can be paladins, ogres can be wizards, Dark elves can be paladins also, and high elves can be rangers. anyone else get this strange bug? its not server side cause every server i log into does the same thing.

sorry if i posted in wrong place

Had that happen to me as well, but was fixed when I patched (this was around 15th dec). Seems to happen when you patch with the TestEverquest.exe and then play normal EQ without the patcher.

This is simply a GUI error more then anything. The classes are all set correctly, but because of the new berserker class all the classes BELOW the berserker class need to be shifted up one slot. For instance if you click on the berserker class you are actually on the cleric class. Look at the display at the bottom of the screen that gives information about a class when you click on it if you are confused. It displays the info for the correct class that you are really choosing. Also, you can look at the stat bonuses that you get for the selected class to figure out which class you really are.

after you create the character and get back to character select you can also see what class you have created under your name
