Default Need Help In Tricking Online to think its a LAN

I need your guys help...I am hosting my brother through a LAN. We use Minilogin account and his eqhost file is set to connect to my IP and we play on the same account. Now we want another friend to play but he gets the 1001 error because its trying to connect to my IP over the internet. Basically I am using minilogin because i don't wanna have to go through the EQEMu loginservers and I want to know how to trick his Online EQ connection into thinking its on a LAN with my computer so we can play...

Thanks!!! Any Ideas Will Help...

you cant trick computers into thinking they're on a lan.

for one, your lan ip's arent routable over the net anyway.

You need to set up your server so that the external internet routable ip is used for world and zones.

so worldaddress would be 64.24.98.2 for example and zones would be started with zone . 64.24.98.2 7995 localhost

If the computer you're running eqemu on isnt the one with your external ip, then you must forward ports or configure it to be the DMZ host.

but after you do all of this, your local computers will now connect to the server through the router instead of directly. I think there might be a way to circumvent that.. but I've never dealt with it.
