I'd have to say "whatever." It all depends on the mood I'm in. I get tired of listening to the same style or band after a while.

This is a musical taste list generated by a very young person...
There are a ton of great musical styles outside of what you listed... Bluegrass, blues, jazz (jazz is awesome!) , sca , reggae, orchestra (not always classical you know)...
You havent lived till you've listened to Stanley Jordon...

For those who like metal check out Meatlocker Seven. Really tight musicians who kick major ass. They're from the same city I live and their live show kicks ass!

Very nicely done site.. Good music, these guys can build a good groove and they have some good guitar harmonies, but I have to say this.... Yet another metal band whining about hate and negativity!! What ever happened to good ol metal bands like Iron Maiden that wrote songs about historic events and well known literature ? I like alot of these bands, but I get tired of albums like 'Symphony of Hate' and 'Ode to Misery' and 'Screaming Misery in the deep blackening darkness of my hate'
'metal' bands these days remind me of that goth kid episode of South Park.. Blackness.. pain.. life is pain... complete darkness.. Your a clone.. Be unique, like all of us...

There's a large difference between the goths you describe Trump (we call them kindergoths ) and real oldschool goths.
But I do relate to what you're saying about the metal scene. Majority of metal bands out now are a clone of emo punk (lyrical wise) and death metal (musical wise).

Thats a pretty good comparison I'd say.. I am of course lumping alot of people together as I'm on the outside of the scene these days (I did use to be a rock/metal musician back about 10 years ago.. everthing from ac/dc skid row, etc to slayer, napalm death, Seplutura) and the scene has changed alot since then.. Goth was just coming into fruitation at that time.. Now it all looks the same to me but admittedly , i have an outsiders perspective now..
I tend to not care about vocals honestly being a guitarist, its all about the instruments to me...

Actually Goth's been around just as long as punk (circa 1976) Bands like Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Alien Sex Fiend and original Ministry (was just Allen Jourgenson at that time) were all goth bands. Goth back then was a lot different than it is now as well. Most goth bands were what people today would consider to be 'tech' bands

Ive never heard Ministry considered 'Goth' , I was actually a really big fan, 'Land of Rape and Honey' and 'Mind is a Terrible Thing' etc.. It was always labelled Industrial... It wasnt until the late 80's that I remember there actually being a labelling of the Goth culture... I know that it is considered a offspring of Punk, (Posipunk?)...
