Default Odd crash...

Yesterday, without having tweaked the server at all, I gained a very odd problem, that hasn't gone away.

When I boot up World and ZoneServer (nt, running WinXP) everything is fine.

I log in, come to char selection screen, hit play...

ZoneNT runs an illegal operation (without having shown any activity, all five consoles show "sleeping status", and world shows nothing out of the ordinary) and I get "That Zone is unavailable".

At one point, I got a message about being low on virtual memory.
Only 40% of my RAM was being used, and roughly 20% of my page files.

Help?

See if you can create a new char. I have had a char get bugged before by going to a zone I didn't have... I just created a new char instead of bothering with it.

Doesn't work. Already tried 8 different chars or so. Also, people who try to log on the server from another computer get the same error.

I also tried switching to a clean database. Same error.
Tried running the current database off another computer. Worked fine.

This is kinda confusing.

Narrowed it down. Apparently, it crashes whenever I have the maps folder in my EQemu folder. Kinda odd

DON'T put a maps folder in your eqemu directory. This will cause problems EVERYTIME.

There are some posts elsewhere about this if you really want to know why. But basically just don't do it.
