Default Star Wars Galaxies

I just got this game because my friends coerced me into it, and I have to say that the game is way more fun than EQ ever was. The interface and controls are a bit funny at first, but once you get used to them, it seems much more natural. And it's great for all of us who had 15 characters that we used to play, because you can be a little of everything... then next week change it all to be something else. Anyone else played it? If you're bored, and waiting for a decent server to be released, check it out (the first month is free, so you just have to buy the game... at first anyway)

I love that game. I recently quit it so that I could finish school.

Having level 65 wizards who can know every craft doesn't seem excessive?

I like having limits... Infinity allows one entity to be all-powerful. I'm usually not that one person.

And you are not locked in that profession permamently, yes you can max it out quickly, but all that means is that you can change gears quickly when you are tired of the old combo. Or perhaps begin the road to a Jedi? Now THAT would take more than a month to attain and master. And Sorapis? The game is much, much more than getting your character to the highest level, it is about spending time with "virtual" friends and there is the PvP element, which is more pervalent and deeper than it was in EQ.

((Sorry for reviving a dead topic, I haven't been here for a while, schools been pressing on me too hard. And I have been playing SWG too much :P ))

kinda late..but i recently got swg for the same reasons...and it is alot better than any other MMOG out there at this time, you completely left out the superior PvP combat, the crafting system (crafting..meh, the system is ingenious though), the player bases, player cities, and if you master professions, run out of skill points you can completely drop a profession and start fresh with a new one...you can alter your HAM bar (health, action, mind) to fit your professions needs...you can take drugs, be a jedi..or slaughter imperials...hell you can be an imperial if you want...to....and to max out your skill points in one month, you are one big loser with alot of time on your hands..and to get 1 million credits in that time takes begging and alot of free time...thats another thing, unlike most MMOGs the game is ALOT friendlier to casual players..the game had a bumpy start, but it is by far the best MMOG out there..
