Default No DataRate.txt
This may be a really stupid question, as I am new to EQemu.

I'm trying to go through the howto guide above for playing EQemu, but I can't find the datarate.txt file in my EQ directory.

*note: I just freshly installed EQ on my system, so I haven't tinkered with anything

Do I need this file in order to play, or is the text file maybe hidden within another notepad file that I haven't looked in?

Just create it in Notepad, and save in EQ Directory as "datarate.txt".

The whole contents should be:

8.0

(Nothing else).

Btw, 8 is for DSL. If your using 56k try between 4 and 6.

Not even sure if the file is used anymore, but no harm done in keeping it in there.
