How do u play on theys servers?

i been playing eq for years and kinda sick of the big servers and all the people and stuff.. i seen at the main page there are like 26 servers and stuff i was wondering if there is anyway to play on theys servers or do i have to no the person and stuff to get on the server.. can somone help plz
