Black screen after loading screen.

I just reinstalled EQ after doing a wipe of my harddrive. I have been trying to to get to the Character Selection screen but it keeps on going black and staying that way. I have a VooDoo 5 5500 and DX 9.0b and over 300 RAM. Any suggestions?
