Default An idea.. Magelo importing?

Not sure if it had been brought up or not, but it would be nice if we could collect the info of characters off of live to magelo and be able to have a program to script the SQL to create the character on a designated account.

Has anyone done anything like this? If so, how can I get a copy.. /wishes he had a clue of how to start developing it himself.. :P

The only question for this is, why? You already have that character ready to be played on a server obviously. The only servers that would allow this are nonlegit servers since legit servers by definition require you to start at level 1 and work your way up. And on nonlegit servers you can easily make any character you want with a few #level, #setskill, and #summonitem commands.

Just thought it would be nice to be able to recreate characters off of live to play on a lanparty type server. Was just a thought. If a bad one, chuck it into the bit bucket.. lol

Efficiency, of course. It's a lot of work to duplicate a character from live. From character creation with appropriate stats, to summoning an entire set of gear, to mathing armor dye colors, it's a painstaking process. For example, I use the emu at times to create signatures for friends, and duplicating their look so I can pose them how I please takes awhile currently.

There was at one point a very nice utility to import Magelos into your own Emu server, which I rather much liked. I believe it's outdated, sadly. :(
