It's not as much as most would want, but it'll get you in the game.

It only accepts eqemu/eqemu as the username/password.

Just tried the minilogin.exe and it worked great.

For those of you who might need a little help getting this going..follow these steps: (Please note these steps are for localhost servers only)

-Change your eqhost.txt file to read: (might want to backup the old eqhost.txt instead of just changing it)
[Registration Servers]
{
"localhost:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"localhost:5999"
}

-Change the loginserver.ini file in your emu directory to: (again, might want to back up the old one in case you might ever want to use the gotfrags loginserver again)

[LoginServer]
loginserver=localhost
worldname=[worldname]
locked=false
worldaddress=127.0.0.1
account=
password=

-At this point, run minilogin.exe...you'll see a couple of error messages..but it should still say listening on port 5999

-Run World.exe and 5 zones.bat normally

-At the EQ login (either by eqgame.exe patchme or by eqw2.2)..you must login with eqemu/eqemu so if you want to use all the GM commands, set the status of eqemu to 200 beforehand.

Very good. I believe the mini will take care of us 5% just fine. Of course I will download the full loginserver just because I download everything that is downloadable.

I will probably have a subnet hooked into gotfrags (as a public access) and a mini-login for my private net.

Great work! This is just what I and probably many other people wanted.
0.20 seems to work fine for me. The new spell code is very good and maybe it was just my imagination but combat seems to take AC into account now. It's just a shame I don't have the memory to see the new Luclin character models. The new models for skeletons, elementals, and Vah Shir certainly look very impressive.

Ok, can someone help me out here. I am very new to this, about 12 hours old. What i would like to do is host a login server on a seperate PC that i have at home that only users that i specify can log into. As far as i can tell, the mini-loginserver is only for hosting a LAN not a internet connection. Could anyone help me out? Is this even possiable witht the current version of EQEMU?

with the current version you would pretty much have to boot anyone you don't want manually.

I did all of this but when I get to the server listing nothing is there. I can't hit the play button but I can hit the exit and news button. Also, I can hit enter and it tries to enter some server but the an error occurs and tells me I need to reconnect. Any ideas?

Gogeta try this:
make sure your loginserver.ini is exactly the same other than the worldname and the worldaddress:
[LoginServer]
loginserver=localhost
worldname=Nada's Test Server (SOL ENABLED)
locked=false
worldaddress=127.0.0.1
account=
password=
Then make sure your eqhost file is this:
[Registration Servers]
{
"localhost:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"localhost:5999"
Then if you have done this boot up minilogin, world, 5zoneboot use eqgame.exe patchme or login with eqw 2.2. This worked the first time on both of my machines hopefully it will work for you. Also make sure the the 5zone boot has the correct ip.
