Default New setup causing problems... ?

I've been on EQEmu for a little while and Im all of a sudden having a problem. I connected to the EQLive updater and downloaded the files because i heard that the version of EQEmu has caught up with GoD. I did so, and I now have a new selection screen and everything - its no longer the classic, it must have changed to the GoD setup and now i cannot log in - the program no longer has my station name (EQEmu name) in the space and when I DO put the info it it pauses for something like 5 seconds and brings up an error:
"Eqgame.exe has caused and error and must close. If the problem continues..." blah blah blah, and it closes to the desktop. Does anyone have ANY idea what I did or how i an fix it? Ive seen a few posts about it but none got answers. Any help would be greatly apprerciated. Thanks

No, im not. Ive looked at the other posts on this subject and none seem to have an answer. They all refer to the eqhost.txt and eqcliet but im pretty sure ive done everything correct, thats why im so stumped. Ive also deleted and re-downloaded most of the files, in case there was any corrupt. Im at a total loss. :(

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHATS GOING ON?!?!?!
Apparently this is a pretty widespread issue, tons of posts on it.
