Default Error - Timeout Occurred

I have followed every forum article, copied and pasted everything over and over several times. From the db.ini to the eqhost.txt files.
I have spent several days doing everything several times.
I have turned off all the firewalls on both computers that are on my home lan.
I have opened up ports 5995 to 9000 on my router for both computers.
I can ping the router from each computer and I can ping each computer from each other.
I originally planned to have a lan setup so I could just go in by myself and play eq.
after all that I had a error timeout occurred.

so I decided to login into the eqemulator servers, still have a timeout occurred.

I have patched eq with everything that is current. I can load up eq and get on the net, and it will not download any more updates.

The lan server I was wanting to run is at 192.168.1.100
and my computer is 192.1.1.101

I would like to use eqemu, but on lan or on eqemulator, all I get is a timeout occurred.

my minilogin, world and bat5zones load up just fine.

What else can I do to fix this?

The latest patch is not compatible with the Emu. There is no fix for it. You need to wait until the Emu is updated and we don't know how long that will be.
