time out...login screen

i'm sure there is a post about this, but thers so many of them and i've looked for an hour for it... when i get to the login screen, put in my password, and click login it says time out error immediately after i click login. it doesnt even get to hte login screen. i've been away from eqemu for a few months, and was just wandering if there is a new login or eqhost i need to change. i havent patched to live in about a month, maybe more. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks

ok sinc enobody else seems to want to repeat the answer to this question.. I guess its my turn

you need to use the following link to reset your info and then log in to the test server as normal but from the same ip you use when using this link.

dont worry about why.. or if you do go read all the forum history and get your answers

I have done that, and it did absolutely nothing for me.

ok, i clicked the link and put my login name, pw and ip address. it said invalid password...so i did the forgot my password thingy, and eqemu sent me a new pw in my email. that pw doesnt work either....this is kinda tickin me off : (

Are you using the latest live client? If so, make sure your eqhost.txt is using eqemulator.net:5996.

If your client is from around 6/21 then point it to eqemulator.net:5995

Also, make sure there are NO spaces or blank lines in your eqhost.txt file, as they will be read incorrectly by the loginserver...
