Default server/client on same router

is it possible to run a server and a client on the same network**** or will it just not work anyone know

it works its just wayyyyyy laggy, and your wouldnt be able to have anyone else on the server.

ive done it before, users that have gotten on told me the lag was very low dont see why it was so bad for you guys.

this really didnt need a poll, i promise you that it will work thats how i run it, theres no reason it wouldnt. I cant even think of one.

True its laggy but if you reformat your computer and keep it clean you can do it easy. And you can have other people on the server also.

its not the same system its the same router (network) and the only reason i would think it wouldnt work is becuase if theres a port that is fowarded to the server like 9000 for example and i need port 9000 to login with my (other pc) it wont work i guess i should have made it more clear
