Smile Hosting a server w/ classic eq from the trilogy

ok i saw the host a 6.0 server ( perl quest enabled ) and the mini login server post but, forgive me im a PURE NOOB :
- I installed the the classic everquest version from the trilogy download and i want to host a server without any perl or things like that, i dont have any knowledge of programmation, which thread am i supposed to follow as none of them works for me
am i following the wrong thread or should i ask for a new tutorial ?


- Forgive the noobs... help me plz

You are going to need to patch and wait until EQEMu is cought up with the latest patch. Sorry, but there is no EQEMu version that works with right out of the box installation, and no database, although I wish =P

i meen, now i have the trilogy install, i got high speed connection so np for downloads, is theres a way to play eq i dont care which version, thx in advance again

You have to patch EverQuest, all expansions, full file scan, everything... if you get that done you are as close as you can get. Once EQEMu is caught up with live you will be able to play. Backpatching is against the rules, so don't even ask.
