Default going LD constantly

ok I have a problem that has been going on with basically any eqemu server i try to connect to. and that is, i go LD contantly. im talking a matter of minutes i get to login before i go LD. sometimes i can stay on for 15 to 30 minutes but usually its a matter of 10 to 15 max, or even occassionally LD immidiately after i login.

this is happening for ALL eqemu servers i try, and i am on a broadband connection (connecting from new zealand, but still, its a good connection until i go LD).

would like some help on this if anyone knows some hotfixes or tips. ive disabled windows firewall, i dont have or use any other firewall.

i have patched each server i play on and use a seperate directory install for all of them that i play on...

should work, but its not...im stuck
any tips? things ive overlooked possibly?
cheers

You could try changing the number in your datarate.txt file (eq directories) to a higher number, this helps a lot of folks that go LD.

actually, i changed it to a lower number.
it was 8.0 in there before, i changed it to a reccommended 2.0 or 3.0 depending on which server i play on (play on 2 usually). it now works 100% better, i havent gone LD, with exception of just a few spikes in my connection, at all.
and no packetloss.....although my ping is always a bit high, its quite playable.
