Default Hi- Im a noob

Hi,

I downloaded and installed eqemu - awesome thing you have here. I look forward to playing with it in the future.

I'm sure this is a really dumb question but how do I create GM level characters? I can summon items, search for items etc - but cannot spawn or level myself.

Can someone help?

Thanks in advance,
Dingo

Download EQadmin, start it up, change the "status" of your character from probably 0 to 200 I think it is.

Its all in the FAQ, or was last I checked...

you have to change the status on your gm candidate character -- for right now that is eqemu. The status should be changed to 200.

Here is how you change all your names to super gms:

on command line: type 'mysql'

inside mysql program type:
Quote:
use eq ---or whatever the name of your db is
update account set status=200;
or for eqemu only
Quote:
update account set status=200 with name='eqemu';

Looks like i missed this point-- You are asking about individual characters so that in the same account you can have gms and nongms. I believe there is a command ingame to do that.

You need gm status so you can do it though. Try #help for the command and then the character has to be logged in.
