Sorry if this is idiot post material, but I searched and couldn't find an answer, as impatient as I am.

First and more importantly - I have a copy of EQ patched before 9/13 that works with eqemu, but I want to reinstall EQ it on another computer. If it takes too long to tell me what I can do, can you point me where i can learn?

And, second thing is, I have major connectivity issues with servers. I read that you get this all the time, but I figure you can just ignore it if it's really damn obvious. The game will either freeze at the character select screen for about 10 minutes, then complain about the server not responding, or -- I'll get in the game from anywhere between 30 seconds to 10 minutes, and then certain things stop working, specifically commands that require response from the server. Bypassing my router doesn't change anything, either.


Any help would be appreciated.

You should copy the contents of your pre-9/13 folder as they are, to the other computer. Then you can play eqemu on the other computer.

Some versions of the server have had client issues where the client seems to not respond after some time. I think they've ironed a lot of those out on very recent versions. Might want to check which version the server you're connecting to is running.

I think I still have problems on the 6.4 servers, but I'll have to check, I haven't tried in a little while.
