Starting the game

Hey everyone. I am really excited to start playing Everquest again it has been way too long. I want to play this EMU because i cant really afford to pay a monthly again and this would be nice. I am very mixed up about what i need to do to begin this. I would be very grateful if someone could post exactly what i need to begin and the whole process from start to finish. I tried downloading a guide but it didn't really do it for me. Any help would be great and thanks

yeah thanks that made it a little more clear, so i can just unzip the EMU file anywhere? i was also wondering how to create my own server. about half the week i don't have internet... don't ask why but i don't. I wanted to just have a server i could play just to kill time.

There is no EMU file needed for playing...

You create your server by following the server creation guide.

Creating a server is not user friendly, its not recommended for those that at least dont know SQL, and some C++ will be needed down the road too.


The first mistake your making that will get people pissy at ya is your not reading and searching for answers, everything you need to know is well documentated in several places, it just takes time to look.
