Default cant see target <spells>

I just now got my server up and running after weeks of work. i got everything running but one thing.......... ALL my DMG spells wont work i can cast it on a mob and it says cant see target even when i try to cast it on my self. but i can cast heals / buff spells im useing peq db 7.0 eqemu can someone help me please !

Look at your servers "eqemu/map" directory - do you have one set up? are there .map files in there?

I'm running into the same issue. I can buff myself but not use attack spells. I do have my maps directory and I downloaded the map pack suggested in the pdf install guide.

any other ideas?

I think I might finally have figured it out. I downloaded the new_maps.zip but not the maps.tar.gz. I'm guessing I need both? Anyway, I am downloading it now. I'll post an update when I find out if it works.
