Scars of Amerous Offically open

Hello all. Hope everyone is doing ok.
I am posting basically on behalf of myself and the Scars of Amerous team to let all players know that our server is now offically up and running. Now it has been open for play for awhile now due to popular demand but we still had a lot of updates to do before it was completely stable without a lot of restarts for updates.

Basically our server is a custom-legit PvE server. I myself was an EQlive player for almost 10 years. Spider the other lead dev was a live player for almost as long. Our server mainly concentrates on raiding. We know a lot of people come over to EQemu because they are tired of waiting a year or more to get a max level character with decent AAs. On our server it doesn't take that long to get max level and decent AAs for raiding.

Now I know there might be quite a few people who think this is just some over powered server with extremely powerful items and is to easy, but that is far from the truth. Yes we do have quite a few custom items and yes they are powerful but also at the same time we believe that there should still be some sort of challenge in the game. Our mobs are just as custom as our items. There have been quite a few people who are regulars on our server that have said SoA is one of the most balanced servers they have played on. We try to balance all classes to make each class just as useful as another.

This is not a server that will only be up for a few months maybe then be taken down. We plan on having this server up for quite a long time. We have a GM staff of 5 GMs. Each GM has their own job to focus on so that we may keep updating and cater as well as possible to all of our players. We are constantly coming out with new items and zones. We already have our 1.5 and 2.0 quests done and fully implemented. We are in the works of a 2.5 and 3.0 along with more raid zones and such. We also try to host at least 2 GM events a month or when ever possible with rewards for such.

What is there to really do once 75? apart from do raids on 2 zones?? cheers

The reason there is only 2 raid zones at the moment is because we are waiting on more players. Since our player base has increased I will be putting in more raid zones. We just don't want to bring everything out at once and have nothing new for more updates and such.

Started playing on Amerous about a week ago, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent here, more so on any other server. The server makes leveling easy, and very enjoyable, and if you happen to be like me, you start new characters all the time, So this can bode well for you. ;P
