Okay, so I am going to give this server thing one more shot.

Through working on several projects, i've found players like something easy. Easy, but still having goals to accomplish.

Not only that, but some players do like being invincible, but still having to take the time to defeat an enemy and level up.

That's why I am here to try this idea: Semi-Legit.

Through the years, servers like this type have fallen through. Krusher's, and many others.

I think the main flaw is that people get bored if you have summonitem. If you can level yourself to 65, and slaughter things just because you have the best gear which, might I add, you did not earn, it leaves an empty feeling and boredom sets in fast.

So, I will give this server type a try. If it becomes popular, I will keep it up, if it does not, I will take it down. Now, a little about the server:

Features:

Buffbot in the starting zone so you can get haste, SoW, and avatar.

Teleporter to Plane of Knowledge so you can start your journies.

Gate necklace to the starting zone, Tutorial.

Free epics off the starting merchant.

Cloth armor is what you will be using for your beginning levels.

#heal and #mana, you can choose whether to play with or without this, it is there so you can play at your own pace.
#traindisc + #setallskill.
If you need a recap of commands, #help is available.

Spellscriber in the starter zone.

You earn your gear. You may get a nice boost starting out, but for the most part, you earn your keep.

3.5 up 20 down connection. I will be switching to FiOS in October due to Comcast's internet cap they are putting in place, and it will be 20/20 when that happens.

Custom content, when I feel like putting it in, and if the server gets populated.

Always latest EQEMu code. At least i'll try to keep it current.

It's not custom, yet. Well, besides the starting zone!

I want to see if the idea works first before I go ahead with making content. I made enough content to start people out, I figure PEQ should take care of the rest as EQ's classical progression should be good enough for most people.

Best of luck in NC, as well. Tropical storms are still somewhat dangerous :/
