Default Pets won't attack with offhand

Necromancer and Shaman pets are not hitting with their offhand, regardless of if they have 2 weapons or not.

Magician pets work fine.

When I set the necro/shaman pet to Monk class they begin to hit with offhand, but not when set as a warrior/ranger (I don't want to give the pets kick/strike/backstab).

Any ideas?

Well since I can't edit, Magician and Beastlord pets aren't attacking with offhand either.

Bump for answers. I have made zero progress with this.

I tried giving the pets Triple and Quad attacks but it doesn't work either.

You would have to look at the source to be sure, but this is probably related to skills. A monk starts off at level 1 with dual wield, but all other classes have to train to learn it. I think it still lets them wield 2 weapons at once, but only knows how to use one of them. Just a guess though.

Any idea on how to train an NPC's skills or manually set their level?

logicly a PET is an npc
if a ranger NPC gets his dual wield at lev 17 - then a pet whos class is also set as ranger should behave identicly WIHOUT any special source coding

You would think that but for some reason it's not working.

I've tried all classes who get dual wield and ONLY setting the pets as a monk allows them off hand attacks. I have no idea why as I've tried this with pets of all levels.

well in this case I urge devs to look into the code - pets should nto handled any diffirently than any other npc for ALL purposes

Update: No NPCs are attacking with offhand unless assigned the monk class.

So to me it looks like npcs aren't "learning" dual wield when they hit the appropriate level.
