Default Problems connecting to world / server from eq client

I have tried both the minilogin and the standard eqemuloginserver.

For the minilogin case: When I try to login from the everquest client it simply hangs and I never get to the server select screen.

For the Eqemuloginserver, I can get to the server select screen but my server does not show up on the list - nothing there , blank.

I do get a message something like: " Server "blah" did not try to login but this server requires a password" in the login server window.

Is this a typo? did they mean "did try to?" I am one step closer.

By the way I am using the underfoot package I downloaded from steam. Is this ok? Everything needs changed to 5999 in terms of ports , right?

I finally located my old titanium discs so I might try with that.

As always, thanks in advance for any help or nudging in the right direction.

Oh, and another thing. It looks like the Eqemuloginserver a separate database to hold some account login info while minilog appears to be built in? It this correct.

Where can I find a document describing how everthing is put together? I may have to dive into the source but thats a lot of swimming. Anyone giving lessons?

Good Night.

Thanks,

Rodger
