I get that too. I have to sometimes log in several times before the servers show up. It just started recently so maybe it's some recent change somewhere that can be undone.

I never experience this on the Public LS. The only time I see it is on my test server that runs on a mini-login. And even then, it only happens when I am restarting the server and trying to log into EQ at the same time and my PC is pushing a lot of resources. My point is that it seems to be a load related issue and seems to be mostly caused by the client PC. Since I don't ever see it on the Public one and many others rarely see this problem, it probably is related to the LS itself.

My guess in all of your cases is that it may be due to a network issue on your end. Maybe you have your PC on a wireless network (they can drop packets regularly in many cases), or maybe your connection is being over-utilized by you or someone on your network. If you or someone on your network is running a Torrent Program or a P2P program, it is likely that this is the reason for your issue.

You may also want to check your router to see who is connected to it if it is a wireless router and you don't have tight security on it. I know someone who was having major issues with logging in at all and it was due to their neighbors eating all of their bandwidth. They tightened down their wireless security and haven't had a problem since.

I have the same problem when i run eqemu with the lastest wine build and ubuntu 9.04. All works perfectly but the server select screen is empty.

If i use regular WinXP on the laptop right next to it, NP.

Any ideas?!

Seems to be off and on. Maybe a lag issue. I'm working fine again for no apparent reason.

This happens in two circumstances, either a bad server list to the client or the LS is in it's precursor to the bad password bug. Rogean needs to do daily LS cycles at like 3am.
