Default Instructions.

I've read the FAQ, the readmes, and everything else. But I'm still confused on how to set this up. I just want to play, not set up a server. Can someone give me some step-by-step instructions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Copy Eqemu's version of Eqhost, replace your version of Eqhost with Eqemu's version. Log in, play....

(this is the Eqhost file btw....

[Registration Servers]
{
"eqlogin1.eqemu.org:5999"
"eqlogin2.eqemu.org:5999"
}
[Login Servers]
{
"64.81.113.117:5999"
"24.188.236.125:5999"
}

and can be found at....

OK thanks!

Now, all I need to know is how to create an account. Do I register for one in EQ or would I have to register somewhere else?

Part 1 of the readme also covers exactly what you need.

See my sig for additional info. As the readme says, you only need eqhost.txt, and a login username and pass from EQEmu. EQW.exe is recomended also, but not required.

OK, I registered for an acocunt but when I try to activate it, I get an error.

"No Accounts found. Are you sure you came to the right link and haven't verified your account before? Try logging in, if you can not, come to irc.trifocus.net #eqemu, and bug khuong"

I don't have IRC so I can't get on there. Any ideas?

Ya, it said Invalid Login or Password.

I tried making another account with another e-mail address. Same thing :(

OK, I figured it out.

It turns out I was running the patch every time I started EQ. Thus, it changed eqhost.txt back to it's original.

Thanks to all who helped, I really appreciated it
