The article is sooooo optimistic about how many people they can suck into games like Everquest. Everquest was specially made to attract the hardcore gamers like flies, bringing them trolls and ogres and dark elves, etc. Who else do they think will play these games? If you read the article, it seems like they expect the success of EQ to happen two or three times. They forget that they have to divide the dedicated gamers. With competition, and great profit margins, they'll be fighting to get another EQ out of the population.

Just my two cents, though...
