Default Head scratcher: Works, then doesn't

Hi folks. This is driving me bonkers. I got EQEmu to work once, then have not been able to get it to function correctly again. When it worked, I was able to log into Qeynos. Have not gotten it to work since.

System OS: Win XP
Game: Patched to current (have not patched since it worked the first time)
Installed: EQ & expansions

What I did to fix it: Scoured these forums, tried every solution I could find. Tried various configurations of minilogin and public logon. Read the *bleeping* manual and all FAQs. Tried with and without my router. Tried several static IPs. Tried localhost and 127.0.0.1 as my IP. Same error occurs every time. Tried versions .3.4 and 0.3.5, same error on both.

Symptoms: Everything starts fine, just as expected. I can create a character, and then it begins to log in. Soon as I do, I get the errors below, and my client drops. The line I am curious about is the "map files not found." Could that be it? If so, how do I fix it?

If not, I did see this thread...

http://www.eqemu.net/forums/showthre...+OpCode+0xf021

....but that doesn't seem to be my problem. I can't log into any zone, and I am certain I am using the correct Zone IPs... (as I said, I tried several times without my router hooked up, using two different static IPs... same problem).

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
