Default Fix for AMD Athlon X2 and Asus M4N78 Pro MB

Please sticky this.

If you are running the Asus M4N78 Pro Motherboard and using the on board Geforce 8300 I'm sure you have noticed that the game crashes on entry into the world. This is due to the on board graphics controller. You will need to do the following to fix this issue:

1. Remove all the old drivers before you install one of these graphics cards.

2. Before installing the graphics card, and after removing the old drivers you must reboot and get into the bios. Select South bridge, then Hybrid SLI. Set the VGA adapter to PCIE. Disable on board VGA and set the frame buffer to disable and "save and exit"

3. Install a PCIE Geforce or ATI card of recent generation (I.E. 6800, 4300 etc) and boot the machine.

4. Install new windows drivers.

This will fix all problems with crashing in all DirectX applications. If you still crash once in a while check the Geforce 8300 chipset heatsink after running this game or some other DirectX application. Also make sure you have the bios setting to disable optimization for all cores.

Happy gaming!
