Default Unreliable Login

Hi All,

I've posted here awhile ago, and for past few weeks just dealt with issue but it's driving me nuts. Sometimes(though rarely) I can log right in to the Login Server. Most times it takes multiple tries, if it works at all. I've check antivirus, router, settings, it's completely random.

I'll try to login and get cannot connect server must be down error, try again get a blank server list, try again get server list then when I try to connect says timeout error. No consistency at all.

Also when I'm in the game zoning gives me between a 30-50% freeze rate, which I need to then try to relogin and it's good luck with that.

It's a Dell Inspiron 1750 laptop, Windows 7 64-bit. I have EQ installed just under C:\EQ. Everytime I go to run I right click and run as administrator and the patchme appears to be setup correctly.

I'm out of ideas of what it could be or how to fix it.

*Edit - Also get error 1017 or close to that? And before that got kicked back to login screen with no error.
