Setting a LAN

I am here asking for some help.

I really just need someone to help me set up a LAN for EQ.
I've tried, and I seem to have some problems.

I was also wondering if it is possible to start EverQuest.exe without it trying to connect to the Internet and all that.

I'm just trying to set up a EQ server to run solely on one computer.
