Default Character Race and Spellbook in the Database

(I do apologize for anyone inconvenienced or irritated in seeing this as it's own thread question, just seemed easier to find if anyone has the same question later.)

Where in the database can you set a character's race?

Where in the database can you alter a character's spell book?

Thanks

I realize when you are sitting around waiting for an answer the time seems to go slowly but posting a ton of threads asking the exact same question, in multiple forums is not going to encourage people to help you.

Race and spell book(among many other things) are stored in the player profile blob. You will not be able to edit this unless you use one of the editors to do so and most likely it is not what you want to do.

For example, if you want to change somebody's race, you can do so ingame with commands or with perl scripts. There is really no reason to want to edit the race within the PP.

Since you seem to want to edit the spellbook merely to add your custom spell to the book, you can instead use the scribespells command which will scribe all spells that your class can use without having to make scrolls.

When asking questions it is always much more helpful to explain why you want to do that as there is usually a better way to do it but nobody will be able to suggest that if you simply ask generic questions.

greatly appreciated on both counts. I'd suspected this was the answer; thank you for the confirmation.

I will do my best to refrain from the multi-post on a single topic. It occurred to me that if someone were looking for this information, a thread with it in the title would seem a likely place to find it
