Default Running EQemu at Work

Ok, so I've been put on nights for a little while at work and I have a large amount of downtime where I'd like to play eq.

At the work computers here (bear in mind I have no administrative access) I cant seem to connect to the eqemu servers. When i try to log in I get the "a connection could not be reached" error. What can be done?

I can't use my phone as a hotspot to connect to that - network discovery and file sharing is turned off (and i have no access) and I cant bring my laptop in (dont ask me why, rediculous imo).

Any sneaky tech guys got any ideas?

A vpn might get you access, but lag could be an issue. From mine (mullvad), most servers are fully playable. I know many are more versed than I, but there has to be another way..

you could use a RDC just make sure the ports are open on your router to accept rdc connections. you will get a little lag depending on how fast your internet connection is. other than that without admin privelages or using your phone as a hotspot your going to run into issues because of the network firewall. any perticular reason you cant use your phone as a hotspot?

More information please, are you on a windows domain? Is group policy in effect, most likely, have you tried disconnecting from the network, and login using the local administrator?

If the local administrator is disabled, theres always this little trick you can do, but I guarantee either your proxy or WanOP device is blocking traffic to EQEMU, unless you have a stupid IT department, or work for a small company where bandwith isnt a problem.

Try this, if you're not techinically inclined, this shit is fucking cake.

Dont ask me for help, because I'm not your IT support.

Note:Modifying anything on the machine outside of the IT department qualifies for immediate termination, in the many company's I've worked for.

Dude, I don't take responsibility if you get fired for wanting to slack off at work, you shouldn't really have downtime, and should keep yourself busy, if you have free time at work, you're not working, just saying.

Good luck, and I hope you aren't standing in the unemployment line next week.
