Default World password error.. with minilogin and login.eqemu

I have tried deleting/uninstalling everything multiple times.. but I just cant get this working :( I have followed the 7 step newbie guide, the readme text, and the readme html (none of those seem to have a comprehensive setup.. had to keep switching documents and crossrefrencing.. but I am fairly confident I followed every step)

The error that I am getting is

" Login server responded with FatalError. Disabling reconnect.
Error message: 'Bad password' "

OS = WinXp Pro
Emu = EQEmu-03.12-Win32.zip (3.13 gives me eq time errors in addition to the bad password)

Have tried connecting to the eqemu login servers.. and also the minilogin server (I would prefer to get the minilogin working)

db.ini

[Database]
host=localhost
user=eqemu
password=password
database=eq

loginserver.ini

[LoginServer]
loginserver=localhost
#loginserver2=eqlogin2.eqemu.net
loginport=5999
#loginport2=5999
worldname=One
locked=false
account=
password=
worldaddress=127.0.0.1

[WorldServer]
Defaultstatus=
Unavailzone=

[LoginConfig]
ServerMode=Standalone
ServerPort=5999
UplinkAddress=
UplinkPort=
UplinkAccount=
UplinkPassword=

Minilogin.exe

LoginServer.ini read.
MiniLoginAccounts.ini read.
Server mode: Standalone
Login server listening on port:5999
New TCP connection: 127.0.0.1:1120
Bad Password: #1 127.0.0.1:1120
Dropping Connection: 0.0.0.0:0

World.exe
Using database 'eq' at localhost
EQEMu 0.3.12 - Wiederbelebung
Loading zone names & items...
EMuShareMem.dll loaded.
Loading items from database...
...done.
LoginServer.ini read.
Loading guild ranks...done.
World server listening on: port 9000
Connected to LoginServer: localhost:5999
Login server responded with FatalError. Disabling reconnect.
Error message: 'Bad password'

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Try this...

c:\mysql\bin\mysql -u <equsername> -p
then type in your password.

If it doesnt let you in, you didnt set up the mysql usename and password correctly. Read the 'Grant all privileges' part of the readme or search the forums.

Redo it until you can execute the above line and get into the database.

Thank you.. I didnt realise that it was a mySQL error. I just assumed, that since world didnt have any errors when accessing the database (when it first starts up), the password error was occouring because of something else.

I feel a little silly now.. if I had known it was just a mySQL error, I would never have posted.

It all seems to be working.. but now I am getting kicked back to the server screen after selecting a character.. which seems to be because I found this site too late, and a patch came out that broke the emu. :(

Hope I can get it working eventually :p

Thanks for the reply, it is appreciated.

I found the thread about the kicking to server select right after I posted that reply... and fixed that problem by changing all the ip's in the ini's to localhost.

It is all basically working now.. so thank you again for the mysql tip.
