Default Can in add an expansion and still connect to the server?

I am thinking of installing SOL onto my already Classic, ROK and SOV.

Can this be done with the current problems with the lastest patches, and still leave me with it still working on the eqemu servers?

I take it I will need to back-up some files to restore after I installed SOL and patched it. What files will I need to back-up?

Luclin and PoP work fine.

I'm sure Legends of Ykesha will cause a temporary break, but nothing major

I just re-read your post and think I better understand what you meant.

You are currently connecting ok but are worried that installing new zones from expansions will prevent you from connecting? This is true.

However you can get around the problem:

1. Install to a new directory (or backup your existing EQ client directory).

2. Copy old directory (or backup directory) over the top of the new installation.

This will keep your EQ client to the same version as it is now, but give you all the missing files from the expansions.
