EqEMU Patcher and my problem Help Please...

I ran into a problem this morning trying to log on using EQEMU Patcher, which I read I probably shouldn't have been doing. When I run the EQEMU Patcher it just sits there until it times out and says "Cannot connect to Patch Server" I looked around on the boards and tried downloading the EQW file, but that too errors out and says it can't open eqmain.dll. I tried going through windows in run by typing in C:\Program Files\EverQuest\eqgame.exe patchme and that too doesn't work. It's like the patchme part isn't being read. The path is correct and I can run the eqgame.exe it just tells me to run the patcher. What do I do? How do I connect to EQEMU without running the patcher and get this to work. Thank you

having the same problem as you, so i began digging around, EQw can be got here:http://eqw.eqhackers.com/ but is windowed and i never got past the server select screen, some patch error, going to fart about with it and see heh.

the how-to for noobies is here :http://forums.eqemu.net/viewtopic.php?t=8 but yet again running the patchme doesnt work for me either...

i'm using windows xp and when i tried to run the patchme from ''run'' and nothing happened nothing opened no error's nothing...

with anyluck someone will find a fix for it

I would just like to know how I can open EQ without running the EQEMU Patcher like it was stated in another thread. If there is a file that can't be displayed on the board please e-mail me in regards to how I may log on without running the patcher. My e-mail is captain_l33t@yahoo.com

The only way to get EQ running if it has been updated via eq servers is to run the eqemu patcher or restore to I believe January 9th's updates. I was able to get eqemu running fine on my xp box. The patcher I had some problems with, but that was easily solved by uninstalling it and then reinstalling a freshly downloaded version. I'm also running eqgame.exe patchme just fine. There are several threads on this subject. I recommend using the search tool on this bb, it works great.
