Default Has there been a solution to patchsrv.dat?

You know the error which says that it 'can't find patchsrv.dat' and it is looking in the C: drive. That problem with EQ patcher. I am really doin' my nut here i have been patiently waiting for a month (not whingeing just a comment)

I have posted my findings about this problem in an earlier thread, but will post again.. (At least what was wrong with ME getting that error)

What was wrong at my house is that i used a web proxy server. To ensure that you are not using one, go to "Tools - Internet options - connections" And remove all the tags on the "Automatic detect settings" and "use proxy server" under your connection (mine is under LAN).

Recomend reboot after changing these settings so those settings will be reloaded.

This is needed because the EQEmu patcher tool uses some kind of "spoofing" to connect to the patchserver.. ie. if you go through a proxy server, the proxy server will try to connect to a site that does not excist.
