Default Everything working fine except eqemu patcher- with router

Heyas, i play on eqlive and just found out about eqemu so i have the latest patch for eq. I downloaded the eqemu patcher and installed it to the Evequest directory yet always get a "Cannot Connect to Patch Server" message.

I have 2 PC's running on a NetComm NB3100 Cable/DSL Firewall Router. I think that may be the problem. Ive tried that DMZ host thing but still didn't work :( .

I know there are a lot of posts about the patcher, but ive gotten so close to playing eqemu!!! its just when i click "Play Everquest" at the server select screen that it goes wrong!!

Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks

Read that and see if it applies to you.

Yeah, ive tried all of that and it still doesn't work :( . I looked at the patch.log file and im getting this error.

GetFile Filename: patch.dat
Error: Name not resolved
Timeout Exceeded Waiting for HTTP Response: 7500

Thats with that DMZ thing on.
Without DMZ i get:

GetFile Filename: patch.dat
Error: Connection reset

Any ideas?

That almost makes me think your DNS server can't resolve the domain...try using a different DNS server. I could be totally off, but it's worth a shot.

Also, if you think the router is the problem, try directly connecting to your ISP without the router and see if that works. If it does, then you know where to start looking for a solution.

I bet you use either XP or antivirus software.
