Hey, you didn't post the error that came from all that stuff.

I was getting the same error in Win XP, but I switched to Win98SE (have a dual boot) and the patcher worked flawlessly. I am going to read the log file and see if I can come up with a zip file that people can use to manually patch the files needed to play without the 1017 error.

Make sure you installed the patcher in to your Everquest folder, not the one that comes up as the default.

Solitice, you can't post that zip file without getting banned. People must use eqemu patcher. Sorry!

Fortis, you're likely to get banned for talk like that. Angelic, don't encourage them :P

Well I certainly do not want to get banned; I didn't realize that it would be against the rules. Could an admin let me know if I am indeed in dangerous waters letting a zip file become available that would do the above stated even if I host the actual file myself.

I am not an Admin, but that is against the rules.

People must use the patcher. That's all there is to it. Fortis, a roundabout way to get it to work is to install YOUR EQ on another person's PC, get your patch, then download the patched files onto your own PC. I don't see that as against the rules.
